Light of Day
The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. Proverbs 4:18

In His Presence

You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.  Psalms 16:11

Lost in You

He takes me to a place where there is no other.  I dance with him, and his presence surrounds me.  My soul is overwhelmed in his love.

I painted this after hearing the lyrics to the song “So Far Gone” by Thousand Foot Krutch.  

 “Shadow of the Almighty”

As I was driving home late one afternoon, I was blinded by the bright sun and could barely see.  My path led me to turn to the right, and as I did, there was a canopy of trees that covered the road.  My heart was so relieved that I could finally see again.  The shade from the tree-covered road was so peaceful.  I told God that I wanted to stay in this shade always, it was a pleasant place to be.  Instantly this scripture filled my mind. 

“He who dwells in the Secret Place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty”

Psalms 91:1

he is your shade, he is your rest.  He is your light that is always there, sometimes it is just covered by the trees.

“Abide in Me, and I will abide in you.”

It started with a whisper...

Last spring, at our church, I went to a class called Create.  It was based on a book called Born to Create by Theresa Dedmon.  It has changed my life.   God released into me a desire and ability to paint, which I never had before.  The desire of my heart is to draw near to God and to listen to his whisper, that still small voice, which directs me and guides me, gives me visions and shows me how to transfer them to a canvas.  I have chosen this painting as my cover as it is so dear to my heart.  One morning as I was sitting on my porch spending time with God, I looked over the tree line of my porch and saw a bird flying in the sky.  I painted this that morning.  It is called "Come Away With Me".  It is a reminder of God beckoning me to come spend time with him each day. 
He said to me: Come away, come away, come away with me, my child.
I responded: I will come away, come away, come away with you, my God.
He said: Run away, run away, run away with me, my child.
I responded: I will run away, run away, run away with you, My King!
